I have been skydiving for ten years, instructing for seven, and been the safety and training advisor on my drop zone for four. If you are in the Atlanta, Georgia area and would like to come skydive drop by Skydive Atlanta in Ellijay/Carrolton, GA.

I have skydived, spelunked, white watered, scuba dived, and paraglided in the alps. Going rafting down the Grand Canyon in 2 weeks . Loved your photos on the canyon. How about some info on paragliding in the States.

Hi! Wow! I came by accidently but deinitely not regreting it! The recent experience I had was when I tried out Bungee Flying. Yes, it's Flying not jumping. Bungee Flying is a mixture of jumping, acrobatic and trapeze acts. It was really ORGASMIC!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, hope to keep in touch with this site from now on. Bye!

I must ammend the comments I made below. I said that now my fear is gone, I'm EAGER to hear "DOOR!". I should've said now that I RECOGNIZE that I do have fear, I can deal with it, and "make those butterflies fly in formation" as someone told me. Some of that fear is still there. I was told that a little fear helps you dive better, makes you more aware of safety.

I've got a couple of things that I think will help me to HAVE FUN next time.

Blue Skies.

no comments, yet. sorry. what i would like to know is where i can find a skydiving class near Baumholder, Germany. I am an American stationed over here, and my german is very limited, although my fiance (whom i have coerced into learning how to jump! ) is german. Right now, i am temporarily down in Bosnia, but i should be returning to Germany in mid- September. Anyone with some info please e-mail me and let me know. Thank you very much!

Did my AFF level 1 and level 2 dives Sunday. Passed level 1!! Didn't level 2. One reason I was distracted by my goggles almost coming off! But I landed safe both times, and ALMOST had a stand up landing on my FIRST jump!! Had line twist the second jump, but the great training I received helped me to fix that! I was ready to quit because I had told myself that I couldn't do it. Definitely going back to re-do level 2 now though!! I first had to admit that I did have fear about going out the door, not just anxiety. Now that's gone and I'm READY, WILLING, and EAGER to hear "DOOR!!!" next time. I'm glad to be a part of the sport!

Mid Summer, 4 people, early morning, went on the EXPERIENCED BUSH WALKING TRACK in the Blue Mountains in Australia - ended up water fall hoping (Got Lost) took 7 hours to get back up from the valley. Saw some amazing sites, did some awsome waterfall crossing and cross country crossing. Thasts about as adventorsome as it gets for me.... No, wait a minute! I went husky sledding to mount mickinley (Alaska) during slush with limited provisions! that was awsome...

See, I can navigate even if I can't code! Really cool site... I liked the "on the edge" feel.. One of these days I'll find the money to indulge myself.. until then, thrill for me and I'll do the same for you come winter (I snow ski!!!)

The next time you're looking at your site, go to the page of your sixth solo and click and hold the down-scroll arrow. It is like a stop motion of your jump!

In response to John's comment below

You should talk to the people at your drop zone or jump school first. They are the ones that have seen you land and can make the best guess at what you are doing wrong. Your best bet is to find an instructor who is willing to talk to you and watch your landing. Tell him about your problem, ask for his advice, then get him to watch you land. I'm sure he will have lots of advise for you.

I just wanted to ask if you could send me some info about preventing sky diving injuries. I broke my leg last year on one attempt. I just get myself into tough landings.

I just wanted to say, that I sky-dive about 5 times a month, and I really enjoy your site. Could you put me on a mailing list or something? Thank you.
