Web pages are written using a language called HyperText Markup Language (HTML). It is not as difficult as it sounds. Basically what this means is you add special markup tags (instructions) to your text to convert it to HyperText.
Since their are already thousands of pages on the web explaining HTML, I'm not going to add more. However, I have picked out a few good guides that you can read.
While I have included links to pages that explain Cascading Style Sheets, and HTML 4.0, I would not suggest you rush to incorporate those features into your web site. Most people will not have browsers capable of using those advanced features for quite some time.
